Adding plants to the decor is a great way to add some greenery to our home which helps to create a restful and relaxed atmosphere. Many plants have medical properties that are good for the house. However, to consider having almost every or another plant at home isn't suitable as it carries its own energy.
Some plants are said to be toxic and bring bad luck to the house and one should never have such plants at home.
There are 5 plants which are not to be kept in the house as they can spread diseases among people, spoil things and bring negativity to the house.
Tamarind plants attract bad energy hence, they should not be planted around the house or inside the house. They can attract negativity and disturb mental peace.
Cacti or Cactus also brings negative energy into homes. It is believed that the sharp thorns on the leaves contain negative energy. This plant increases stress and anxiety in the family. It is also believed that cacti and other thorny plants foster arguments and chaos in the home and harm romantic relationships. They are capable of causing financial difficulties. One should not keep this plant in the living room, bedroom, or main entry of their home.
Cotton plants are kept in the house for decoration. However, according to Vastu Shastra, it is not considered auspicious. Putting them in the house means bringing sorrow and bad luck to the home.
Bonsai plants are very beautiful but they are forbidden to be kept at home. By keeping these inside the house, people are said to face problems in their careers and businesses.
People also bring the Ivy plant to enhance the beauty of their homes. Actually, Ivy plant is considered poisonous. It is also not good for household pets. Ivy causes skin irritation and if one eats it mistakenly, it can be very harmful.
